Falling Off and Getting Back On
I’m on a mission to not stick it out, all the way through.
Well, I was… but it didn’t quite workout.
The day after returning from Montana, on October 5th, I started another month of leveling up.
It’s a personal challenge to stay consistent, get focused, gain some clarity and build some momentum.
Which basically just means doing a few things, everyday, for a certain amount of time.
This time it was about three and a half weeks from returning home to Halloween… a bit shorter than the last time I tried to go for a whole month.
I was doing well, everyday crossing off: Meditate, Drink my 2L Camelback, Read, Journal, Publish, Sweat.
Then Madison and I went to Houston.
FOR ONE NIGHT.
And I missed Saturday. I only checked off 2/5.
And Sunday I checked off none.
Last time I failed I was pretty beat down about it.
I failed twice.
Once 14 days in and next 28 days in.
But this time, I’m not feeling too bad about it.
I chose to prioritize some other actions over the chosen actions. It was a choice.
And now, Monday, I’ve checked off all five, again.
I’ll finish out the rest of the time fully (only like 4 more days) and I’ll feel accomplished.
This time around I didn’t have as many breakthroughs. No real eye-opening realizations. But I read two books, stopped doing somethings, started doing some others and I feel more balanced going into the rest of the year.
I’m cool with it.
