I Know You're Reading This (and not liking it!)
About three weeks into writing pretty much everyday, I now have some interesting data.
I’ve found two interesting things.
1) 603 Unique Visitors!
That’s a lottttttt of people coming to my site.
Pretty wild to think that many people have at least opened my website once, and maybe even a couple of times.
People like you are reading my thoughts, analyzing my stories and hopefullyyyyy getting inspired.
And visitors are increasing daily.
What started with about 10 people a day is not about 20, after about three weeks.
Curious to see how these numbers keep evolving and finding ways to grow them more quickly.
I think soon I’ll be sharing more applicable, how-to, business and life lessons which I think will be more helpful and applicable, rather than just random thoughts.
2) Only 185 likes on Facebook 🤔
Yes, I went through all of my Facebook posts and counted up the likes…
30% of people who visited gave me a thumbs up or some other response.
And that number definitely includes repeat engagers, meaning the same people liking over and over.
I’m not sure what to think of this… do I do that, too?
Do I click on someone’s link and not like the post?
Yesterday, literally right after publishing, my friend texted me about the article… but he didn’t even like it! I would have never known he read it unless he texted me.
I know sometimes I do the opposite: “liking” something but not actually reading it.
But this is the other way around…
I don’t see many people posting to their own blogs so I’m not really sure of my blog consumption / engagement protocols so I’m going to pay attention and see how I do it.
The Good News
Even though your social engagement might be low, people are seeing / liking / reading / watching your content.
Starting to publish every day, I realized how many people notice.
I’ve had an influx of attention since starting to publish, with a definitive benefit.
So if you’re starting out your journey blogging, producing content or being an artist / creator, keep going, keep publishing, keep creating because people are paying attention,
